Pickled white onions Recipe


ingredients

  • Onions 2 kg
  • Peppermint one kilo
  • Garlic 500 g
  • Salt and vinegar to the extent necessary

Use white and white onions.
Instead of fresh mint, you can also use two to three tablespoons of dry and soft mint.

Recipe

  1. First clean the mint and rinse thoroughly.
  2. Put the washed mint in the drain to dry completely.
  3. Take the garlic skin.
  4. Grate the garlic and mint and discard the extra water.
  5. Peel the onions.
  6. Now add a row of onions to the glass you washed and completely dried.
  7. In the next row pour some mint and salt.
  8. Continue the same way until the glass is filled.
  9. Add some vinegar at the end to fill the entire jar.
  10. Close the glass door.

some notes

  1. One of the important points in pickling is the quality of vinegar. The vinegar you use should be pure and water-free. If you are not sure the vinegar is pure, place the vinegar on the stove heat until it is boiling and boil for a few minutes, and if the water is in it, evaporate, then wait for the vinegar to cool completely and use in the pickle. If the vinegar contains water, it will mildew.
  2. Be sure to thoroughly wash the greens and allow them to dry. If the vegetables do not dry, the pickles will mildew.
  3. The glass door should be firm.
  4. Store in a dry place until the pickle arrives.
  5. The spoon or dip you use for pickling should be clean. If they are greasy or contaminated, pickles will break down.
  6. Use cool, non-sunny areas to store pickles.
  7. You can remove the mint if you like. In this case, pour the onion into the jar and pour salt over it, then pour in the vinegar glass until it is completely filled.
  8. You can use homemade lemon juice or sourdough instead of vinegar. When using the beetroot, be sure to boil it and then pour in the jar containing white onions, salt and peppermint.
  9. If you use homemade vinegar to make this pickle, it will taste much better.
